Jonas was born 7 December 1800 in Cumberland County, Virginia.[1] He was the son of Edward Robinson and Anne Meador[2] About the year 1806, Edward Robinson moved his family to Jackson County, Tennessee. [3]
Jonas Robinson and Elizabeth Gibbons (Chisum were married on 7 Aug 1828 in Hardeman County, Tennessee.[4] They were the parents of ten children. These children were Nancy, Lucy, James, Malise, John, Thomas, Allen, William, Pitser, Wiley [5]
