Louis was born in about 1751 in Port Toulouse.[1]
Louis-Telesphore Marchand (called John or Jean), after living for a time at L'Ardoise, he settled at Petit de Grat where he was a fisherman in 1811; married about 1787, at Arichat, Anastasie (Nathalie) BIRET, daughter of Pierre Biret and Marie-Amable JOSSE of L'Ardoise, born August 6, 1770[2]
Telesphore (Jean) and Nathalie had twelve children:[3]
Jean Marchand, coaster, native of Port royal, aged 40 years genevieve pouget, his wife, aged 35 years, native of Port Royal
Eustache, aged 2 years
Louis, aged 1 year
Their meadows are situated on the Grand passage, from la Platriere to the Isle of L’Ours. They have two dwellings, one granted verbally by M. de La Valiere, the other sold to them by the widow Boudreau Census of new settlers, refugee Acadians,
