Thomas Wenman was born about 1596, son of Sir Richard Viscount Wenman and his first wife, Agnes Fermor. [1][2][3] He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford which he is said to have attended at age eight, and Inner Temple.[1] He was knighted at Woodstock on the 10th of September 1617.[4]
In 1617 he married Margaret Hampden daughter of Edmund Hampden of Wendover in Buckinghamshire [1]and his wife, Margaret. They were parents of a son, Richard, who died in Thomas' lifetime, and six daughters, [1] Frances, Agnes, Margaret, Penelope, Elizabeth and Mary. [5]
His father died on the 3rd of April 164o whereupon Thomas succeeded as Second Viscount Wenman of Tuam.[1]
Margaret Wenman died in 1658. [1]
Thomas died on the 25 of January 1655 and was buried in the family vault at Twyford in Buckinghamshire. [1]
The Wenman Family Memorial located at the parish church of Assumption for the Blessed Virgin Mary in Twyford, Aylsbury, Buckinghamshire was erected by Thomas Wenman MP (abt.1596-1665) of this profile in honour of his ancestors, paticularly his father, Richard Wenman MP (abt.1573-bef.1640).

A codicil was added on 6th January 1664/5, Thomas died on 25th January 1664/5. He was buried at Twyford on 27th January 1664/5 and probate of his Will was granted on 6th February 1664/5,[8]
