Vlierboom vs. van Woggelum
It has been proven that Tryntie was not a van Woggelum and was in fact the daughter of Matths Servaes Vlierboom of Albany. The assumption was based on the fact that Yellis mentioned John Woglan and Ury Woglan as brothers-in-law in his will. It is now understood that they were in-laws from his first marriage to Elsje van Woggelum. Yellis named his wife as Alice in a 1692 mortgage in Richmond County and names his wife as Trientie in his will. There is no evidence that Jan Pietersen van Woggelum had a daughter named Tryntie.
