Margaret Amos was born on 12 March 1809 in Heriot, Midlothian, Scotland, the daughter of Mary Amos and Adam Amos.[1]
"The Amos family arrived in Tasmania in March 1821 aboard the Emerald, and were advised to look for land on the unsettled east coast."[2]
She died on 27 February 1896 in Cranbrook, Tasmania, Australia.[1]
