Biography
My name is Liz McKenzie, born Elizabeth Olsson in November, 1951 at Parramatta, Australia. I am the youngest of eight children born to Norman Albert Olsson and Mona Storey Collins, Parramatta, Australia. My paternal grandfather was a Swedish seaman and arrived in Australia in 1882. My paternal grandmother descended from the Stubbs line who migrated to Australia from England in 1802 on board the ship Coromandel. My maternal great-grandfather was a printer and bookbinder, establishing one of the first bookbinding businesses in Sydney in the 1800s. My first marriage took place in 1969 at Dundas, Australia. I have 2 sons from that marriage, which ended in 1974. My second marriage was in 1975 at Parramatta, Australia to a widower who also had 2 sons from his first marriage. Between us, from our 4 sons, we have 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter as of June 2023. My keen interest in family genealogy and history led to me to studying a Bachelor of Arts Degree as a senior mature-age student even though I was 60 when I started, completing studies in March 2020. I am looking forward to the daunting task of creating a full genealogy for the Olsson family tree and possibly writing a formal Olsson Family History Journal from whatever information I can find.

I'm not sure if I am still a "guest" member or have full access. On my profile page, I was trying to add my parents but the field didn't open up. Although I'm not new to researching family history online, I am new to public family trees.
So far, I think WikiTree has been the easiest to join and especially as it is free! I won't comment on other commercial public genealogy websites (although I did forget to cancel a "free" trial subscription and then got caught with the charges).
I do have 3 questions that you might be able to answer: 1) Do I need to create a family tree to be allowed full access to all other genealogy information created/posted by others? Or can I just search for what might I need or information that might interest me for my own research? 2) If I do create a family tree here, can I share that family tree with other family members who are not WikiTree members? 3) Can I create more than 1 family tree, that is one for my family and a separate one for my husband?
