Biography

Daughter of Sir William Meredith, Knight (circa 1560-bef 1643), and Lady Jane Palmer, his wife (who, after her first husband's decease, became Countess of Carbery, Ireland)

Jane Meredith married firstly Sir Peter Wyche of London, merchant, Knight, Ambassador at Constantinople (1627-1641), member of His Majesty [King Charles I]'s Privy Council, and Controller of the Royal Household (1641)

Lady Jane and Sir Peter had one child, Jane Wyche (1630 - 1692), who married Lord John Granville, 1st Earl of Bath

Widowed December 1643, Lady Jane married secondly to Sir John Meyrick / Merrick, Knight, member of Parliament and Justice of the Peace, of Monkton, Pembrokeshire, in Wales (died 1659). There were no children of this marriage; Sir John predeceased her by only a few months
