Biography

Mary was born on 29 Jun 1914. She is the daughter of Alfred Atkinson and Julia Amos. By 1920, the family had moved to Athens in Clarke County, Georgia.^[1] In 1930, Mary was still living with her parents, and a younger sister, Mrytle. The family had moved back to Siloam, Greene County, Georgia.^[2]

Mary married Stephen B. Scarborough Sr. on 24 Dec 1937 in Haywood, North Carolina, United States^[3]
