DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships.
It is likely that these
autosomal DNA
test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Obed:
There appears to be an “Obed Blakeslee” who was b. 1748 (New Haven), and this is the one I believe m. 1773 (North Haven) Sarah Gilbert and d. 1777 (New Haven), who had a son Obed b. 1777 (North Haven). If so, the DAR Lineage Books, vol. 111, p. 123 confuses this Obed (1748- ) with our Obed (1754-1825). Does anyone have definitive evidence for either marriage?
