My understanding is there is a line of three consecutive Williams descended from Main dAubigny by Adelaide de Bohun, ending in William dAubigny d.1236, the Magna Carta surety baron. (With William Brito who m. Cecily Bigod, and d.1155; followed by William Meschine who m. Maud FitzRobert de Clare, and d.c. 1168; though I am not 100% sure of this!) and this is NOT the same line of William dAubigny(s) who descend from Roger dAubigny 1036-1084, which marries into Queen Adeliza of Louvain, and Maud St. Hilary etc. Is it?
What is the relationship between Main and Roger?
