Biography

Amos was born in about 1764.

He first married Eleanor Lacy, daughter of Benjamin. She died 23 Jun 1795.

He then married Phebe Bangs on 3 Apr 1796. She died 21 Nov 1842.

• Ruth, bap. 8 Jun 1788, d. young

• James-Benjamin, bap. 27 Jan 1802
• Laura, bap. 27 Jan 1802
• Mildred

Catherine and Ruth were born prior to Eleanor's death and Amos's second marriage, and their mother must have been Eleanor. It is unclear who the mother of the other children is. James-Benjamin and Laura were baptized after he married Phebe, but their mother could still be Eleanor if they were baptized at an older age.

In 1800, he received a distribution from his uncle, John Willson's estate.^[1]

Amos died on 24 June 1818.^[2]

His inventory was completed on 22 August 1818.^[3]

His estate was distributed on 12 April 1819 to his widow Phebe and children Catherine, wife of John S. Wilson, Ruth, wife of Moses Gould, Eleazer Wilson, James B. Wilson, Laura Wilson, and Mildred Wilson.^[4]

In 1843, after the death of his widow, his estate that had been set out to her was distributed to his heirs, viz., Catherine Wilson, wife of John S. Wilson, Eleazer Wilson, Laura Wilson, James B. Wilson, and Mildred Wilson.^[5]
