Biography

Cautionary Note: Jane Unknown Last Name at Birth, possibly Trefethen , may be one of the two unidentified daughters of Foster Trefethen of New Castle, NH. per his will. More sources are needed. Please help.

Because Jane is found in many genealogies as Jane Trefethen, I am going to connect her as Trefethen, for Search purposes.

" ... three Trundy children, namely Elizabeth, Sarah, and John Trundy, are identified in their grandfather's (Foster Trefethan's) Will dated March 30, 1751. They were to receive their inheritance of five Shillings "when they arrive at the ages of twenty and one" (Libby, p. 690). notes from Rosa Lane

"However, that is not the only Coates mystery within the family tree. The New Castle Vital Records also show that “ Robert Coates of Lynn, MA who bought land here in 1723 ” became the second husband of Jane FOSS [NEAL], the grandmother of the aforementioned John Neal, husband of Sarah Coates. This is clearly substantiated by his will." from Coates Register Report
