Simon ("Syms") COVINGTON, son of Simon COVINGTON and Elizabeth BROWN, was born on the 30th of January 1809 at St. Paul's Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, and died on the 19th of February 1861 at Pambula, Colony of New South Wales at age 52, and was buried on the 21 st of February 1861 at Pambula, Colony of New South Wales.

Syms married Eliza TWYFORD, daughter of George TWYFORD and Elizabeth UNKNOWN, on the 12th of August 1841 in St. John's Church of England, Stroud, Colony of New South Wales.
