Biography
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Grew up in Chapel Hill, N.C. Alumnus of Phillips Exeter Academy, New Hampshire; University of N.C., Chapel Hill; Duke University; and Vermont College of Fine Arts. Former software developer. Now works independently as copyeditor of scholarly books, journals, and articles. Lives in southern California. Episcopalian Christian, democratic socialist, married, with one adult child.
