Like many, I have an extensive genealogical profile back to 1769. Then the trail is concealed; I have no idea who are the ascendants of Archibald Boyd b 1769, d 1827 Chester County, South Carolina.

Like many, I have an extensive genealogical profile back to 1769. Then the trail is concealed; I have no idea who are the ascendants of Archibald Boyd b 1769, d 1827 Chester County, South Carolina.
Unlike many, my DNA profile is NOT the typical Boyd haplogroup but rather a Snoddy/Snodgrass profile. There are several others, who I know but have never met that share my DNA haplogroup. One, a Boyd, traces his genealogy with certainty back to Northern Ireland. Suspicions are that the surname swith to Boyd happened several centuries ago before the descendants came to America.
