After checking some family history and then the Internet I found your interest in the Ellerys and have joined this website as a guest as I thought that you would like to know the following about Jane Ellery ("born about 1849"). I believe that she was actually born a little later although I can't confirm the date at present. On 27 June 1872 she married Thomas John Tonkin (1849-1902) at the residence of her brother Edward, at Kooringa, Burra, South Australia. The couple later moved to Moonta and subsequently to Broken Hill and there were five children from this union; Sydney (b. 1873), Lily Blanche (b. 1875), Edward (b. 1878), Stan (b. 1883) and Annie (b. 1886). Lily, my paternal grandmother, married John Vincent on 19 April 1911 and there were three sons, twins Russell and Jack (Jack was my father) and Syd. After the death of her husband (he died of lead poisoning after working in the Broken Hill mines) Jane moved to Adelaide in 1917, followed by Lil Vincent and family about two years later and they all lived together until Jane's death on 20 January 1921. She is buried in the Mitcham Cemetery south of Adelaide. Regards, Dave Vincent
I hope you don't mind that I have just made some changes to the profiles that you have entered. There was mostly nothing significant but I mostly just standardises some person and place names.
If you want to maintain the highest standards in the profiles that you create and manage then I highly recommend that you consider looking at your weekly 'Suggestion Report' (https://wikitree.sdms.si/function/WTWebUser/Suggestions.htm?UserID=30948748). This will let you know of any inconsistencies in what you have entered for the profiles that you manage and their immediate relatives. It will also suggest improvements and how you can get your profiles to align with WikiTree expectations.
Please let me know if I can assist in any way.
Cheers
Peter
