Stanley was born in 1918.[1] He was the son of William Wright and Annie May Dixon. He passed away in 1986.[2] He is buried in the Nowra General Cemetery, New South Wales.[3]

The military service record for the following Stanley James Wright appear to be the correct Stanley James son of William Charles and Annie Dixon. However, the uncertainty is raised by the existence of electoral roll records and Find A Grave entries for Stanley James Wright and Coral Brown Wright.'
Stanley's next of kin on record was his wife Connie May Wright care of the Greenhill Post Office Kempsey. They were married on 4 Jul 1939. On enlistment Stanley was a fisherman but not currently licensed. In 1978, Stanley's service certificate was mailed to him at 4/8 Uralla road Toukley, New South Wales, following an enquiry by his son Patrick John Wright. Patrick was in the Royal Australian Air Force at the Department of Defence, Canberra.
In the 1972 Electoral rolls for New South Wales, Connie May Wright is registered at the Aboriginal Station, Green Hills New South Wales 2440.[6]
