Biography

Robert was born in 1945. He was a member of the Peoples Temple in San Francisco, California with his girlfriend Ruletta and their son. He followed Ruletta and his son to Jonestown, Guyana in 1978, where he married Ruletta. On 18 November 1978, he escaped with several other Jonestown members to Matthews Ridge with the intent of contacting American authorities to help his wife and son escape from Jonestown. After he left, however, his wife and son died when Jim Jones ordered the "revolutionary suicide" of Peoples Temple members.

He passed away in 2010 and was buried in Broussard Cemetery in Derouen, Louisiana.^[1]
