Lee was born in 1943 in Langdale, Chambers, Alabama. He was the son of James Curry "Ted" Weaver and Sara Weldon Burke. Lee lived in Langdale until June 1950 and attended kindergarten 1949 and first grade 1950 at Langdale School. The Family moved to Brookhaven, Dekalb, Georgia for one year where Lee attended 2nd Grade at Jim Cherry Elementary School and in June 1951 they moved to St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida. Lee attended third through sixth grade at North Shore Elementary School. Then Mirror Lake Junior High School and began 10th grade at Northeast High School. Lee,

Just a reminder that Pre-1700 profiles require reliable sources. An online family tree is not a reliable source. You might find the England Project Reliable Sources of help.

Also, just "family tree" without any information about where the information can be found is not a source. You can find more information on the Sources FAQ.

I believe that error has been corrected by cousin Jim Bass. Thank you and I'm just a novice on Wikitree at this point.

Lee, I think what Kay is saying is that referencing an online family tree as a source is not sufficient enough to use a source. Any time you add a new profile or link someone to a profile, you should be including an bona fide, official source - this could be will, family bible, a land transaction/deed which describes the relationship. We want to keep our WikiTree as then source of truth for us and for generations to come. Always document your sources, but please do not use an online tree as your source. Thank you. Jim

I've been considering your comment for many months now and I'm still at a loss for why or how you determined my post to be sourced from an on-line family tree. I have my own tree which I have been working long and hard on since 1952. There were no on-line trees or computers when I began my research and I have filled my home with documentation for some 70+ years in my world-wide travels while in the Navy for 43 years. Yes, I was new to wikitree but I read the rules and passed the 1700 test and met other requirements before posting anything. I guess at my age it's possible to make an error or typo and I appreciate any help I might receive. My cousin Jim Bass has been working on our family research for more than 40 years and he published one of the first books on our Weaver line. He does a fine job of keeping me straight.

BTW - My grandmother was a Sands and I have a long line of Knight in the South. I do not see a connection with your Sands or Knight.

Lee,

Sorry for the delay in reply. I see that you had several duplicate profiles that have since been merged, but still have family tree references. The profile for Ellen Sadler, however, is clearly unsourced from some undefined family tree. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sadler-3795

Hi Lee!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Thank you very much!

I've been getting Wikitree emails for a long time but I had no idea what to do with them. I hope at long last we can finally have a common tree for all Weaver's.

I have thus far only added my name to a wikitree, but I say my father, Othniel and others already in your tree. It would be nice to merge in with you because I have some of the missing info of some of your line.

Hi James Lee

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Thank you, I attended the Wiki-Zoom session Monday evening sponsored by the Central Georgia Genealogical Society. It was very informative and I was able to navigate around a bit after them meeting. I had attempted to begin adding my info earlier but I was totally lost. The young lady presenting did a really great job but there was more than my old mind could absorb. I believe the session was recorded and available for review.

Thank You!
