Mary Anne Mainwaring was born on 12 August 1828 in Bath, Somerset, the daughter of Rowland and his second wife Mary Anne nee Clarke (died 1835).
She married Robert Vaughan Hughes in 1853. They had eight children during their marriage.
In 1861 she was living in Matherne with her husband and six children.[1]
She died on 14 January 1865 at Wyelands in the parish of Matherne in Monmouthshire at the age of 36.[2]
