Biography
François was born and baptized 28 Jun 1824 in St-Basile de Madwaska, New Brunswick. He was the son of Chrisostome Cyr and Madelaine Viollete. Godparents were François Violette and Marie Luce Cyr, no signatures. [1]
On 12 Oct 1847, in Frenchville, François Cyr adult son of son of Firminin Cyr and Magdelaine Violet married Salomée Daigle adult daughter of Dominique Daigle and Louise Gagner. Witnesses of unknown relationship to the couple, signatures are noted in the body of the record but no signatures are on the record itself. [2]
François Cyr Daigle, 50 year old husband of Salomée Daigle, died 12 Dec 1873 in Madawaska, Maine. He was buried in St. David Cemetery. [3]
