I have been looking for my family for over 20 years now. About five years ago I got a dna test for Christmas and started the search for my family. I have made many wonderful discoveries. I have found siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and I even found my parents. Both of my parents are deceased. Although I am not completely sure about my mother or her family. That is what I am mainly concentrating on. I have found a few people on my mothers side so I am trying to put the pieces togerther. All of the information that I have has only come from Ancestry.com.
Thank you for signing the Honor Code. I see that you mentioned adoption in your tags/bio. By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you!
Adoptees: How to Set Up Your Profile is a WikiTree help page specifically designed for new members who indicate they are adoptees. It is also helpful for non-adopted members who have living adoptees in their family tree. The page includes links to more resources, like our Adoption Angels Project, basic search techniques, information on DNA, etc.
Good luck!

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
