yes, that is, indeed, a Sleestack on my trucker's hat. i mean, no big..(but it IS like the coolest hat EVER!!)

i'm here looking..browsing..for a new family..ha! kidding. no, i want to add to our small, awesome one! and i'm having fun with it, so yay!

um..hm. what...else. i'm Lohen's SUPER embarrassing (??) MoMMMMM! (i have like, ZERO idea what he's talking about!) i am a shark advocate/mother to Quansoo (nurse shark) and Requin (great hammerhead). i am partial to long-legged sac spiders that are all named Charlotte when they come here (spring and summer mostly)! i know it sounds strange, but they have the most adorable FEET ever..they are black and look like little shoes. i never dust the cobwebs because they do reuse them. i know a LOT (too much) about them.

i have my own website: https://azisattic.com . i write horror reviews for "older, unappreciated, and forgotten films". i'm also a host on Twitter, #MistressOfDistress on #MovieHeretics. usually once or twice a month on Thursdays. i'm @MVglittergirl, or check my site. i'm also on instagram @azisattic and facebook.com/silvergirlie, but lately i've been lazy. so yeah, i'll just be that weird, saracastic chick that everyone will wonder if i'm ok or not. yay!!  :)

Hi again Heather,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Janet ~ WikiTree Pre-1700 Greeter

hi Janet,

thank you so much! i will definitely take a peek at G2G! i'm a fairly quick learner, with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Scientist, and i used to be a hematologist. but i'm quite good at digging and doing research, and enjoy it. due to a degerative spinal condition i can't work a "traditional" job these days, so i have my own website and i review horror movies. i focus on "older, unappreciated, or forgotten films", and i am also a movie host on Twitter, the Mistress of Distress, i do podcasts (Vineyarder, so anything Jaws usually comes my way lol..), random interviews, articles/reviews for other sites, etc. it's also EXTREMELY important to support women in areas of employment that are classically male-dominated (like, all of them??), especially the horror genre. it is SOOOO difficult for a woman to even get a TOE in the door at one of the good mags/online sites like Fangoria, or directing, producing at a place like "Blumhouse". the disparity is way more alarming than most of the movies i watch! women are not SUPPOSED to like scary things. we shriek at spiders, and pass out at the mere sight of a shark on a screen. it's disheartening, to be sure. so, i've got my hashtag i throw out, #WomanInHorrorRock! and have been one of Bloody Disgusting's Women in Horror 2 years in a row. my podcast with a friend, Josh, on Jaws is the one everyone likes the best. but i like to be insanely over-prepared. if i do a movie night, and someone asks something i don't instantly know, it will gut me..oh the ADD helps! hee! so i am not shy about researching! actually, since i found out on here that my son and i have a direct bloodline to John Billington, i was FLOORED. and with my love of the macabre, i could NOT be more thrilled that i was with the one family who really sort of sounded like it would fit in REALLY well with my family now. just..great. i don't know what kind of reactions like, "normal" people have, but i posted on all my social media and said how great this place is! i was here..well, today was a week..and i actually was able to turn in my "pre-screening" info to the Mayflower Society last week!! all i needed really, were some reassuring FACTS. wikitree=facts that you can do at your own speed. i saw on Family Search the "famous" list they gave me, and i knew there was literally NO WAY. my people came from the Azores to here (??) or Nova Scotia (freezing!) or Maine..and my genetic line would have been pretty polluted if i was related to EVERYONE on the Mayflower. however, i came on here with my results from My Heritage that i didn't know what to really DO with cuz they are not as helpful as you are in explaining raw data and what a ged file is, etc. so, honestly, SUPER SUPER helpful stuff here. and don't EVER think you are dumbing it down. i am a smart girl with an IQ of 130 and i like to have STEPS. just like you have here for almost everything!! it's fantastic and sooo easy to catch on! the past two days i have spent, and i'm not joking, probably around 30 hours on Family Search because someone did SOMEthing and now i have dups all over the place..it's so bad that i think i'm going to have to have someone else fix it because it takes me so long because of all the data, and sourcing, and number and fact-checking. i was FURIOUS!!! i have spent a lot of time on that site, but they need to tighten it up because i was getting to where i wanted to be and the next day..it was like a raccoon in the garbage. but, you honestly cannot beat the Mormons when it comes to history and the printed page! so they do have fantastic sourcing..it's just that not everyone uses it, and they don't get penalized if they do not use it, they use it wrong, or they accidentally apply it to the wrong person/family. *sigh* sorry!! omg..i spent like 20 hours in there yesterday and got minimal results. that's when i do get a bit frantic because i want to fix things before they get worse. i think i will be MUCH more relaxed here..i'm hoping! i offered my help to a couple of people..if they needed anyone to proof, or edit, or research or whatever. keeps me busy! i DO have a very real question that no one has answered for me and i have asked at 4 places now. what do you normally do here if you come into a clear situation of either incest or "keeping the bloodline pure"? i am about 99% sure i do have one case (not even that far back..sketchy!) and the other one i'm still wavering on because i just can't find this girl's maiden name ANYWHERE. so, the one case is pretty obvious .(her mom, uncle and 1st cousin, who she married, are ALL Goodwins, her maiden name is Morton.) i've sourced it, documented it, made sure her daddy was her daddy..she HAS a maiden name that checks out. NO ONE will give me a concise answer, or they tell me to look harder, or that the documents must be lost, etc. i know it's not a fun topic to address, but it does need to be. and i didn't do it, so i'm not embarrassed! what do i care? but i also don't want that part of my tree coming to a screeching halt, and lying about will make the same thing happen, and it will be inaccurate and faulty. i'd appreciate any input besides "just put unknown or whatever". that might be ok for some people, not me. it's also driving me crazy!! i mean, i expect more and more of it, the further back i go, with anyone, so "unknown", "anonymous", "oh, we'll take care of that FOR you" are not answers i particularly need or want. if you are uncomfortable, maybe you can direct me to someone who is not. again, sorry to ramble! i appreciate you noticing that i have taken some initiative and intend on keeping it up! i'll try to keep the gore to a minimum!!  :) Azi~

i absolutely understand your concern, as i said in the novel i just sent you, i've had EXTENSIVE training at Family Search on sourcing and and legitimizing accounts and people! and i've already started on some pre-1700s notes. and ALWAYS tell me when i've done something inaccurate, flimsy, or just WRONG. please. i had the MEANEST boss on the planet when i was a hematologist, so i can take it. and i would rather learn and get it straightened out so i know how to do it properly the next time with less stress, and less time. thanks!!
