Dominik, I have removed every one of your "contributions" to my tree because every single one of them was incorrect. I have sourced the reasons in the profile notes. I will no longer look up the sources to justify the removals.
I will just delete.
You will need to justify your "contribution" to prevent me from deleting additions to my tree.
Please remember that with all changes to profiles, sources must be provided to support changes/additions to relationships, places and dates. You have made numerous changes that are invalid...ie, wrong relationships, and with no supporting evidence. As your mentor, please contact me.
Per our Honor Code and Pre-1700 certification, we take sourcing and accuracy very seriously. I have sent you a separate private message, please check your SPAM if you have not received it. There are numerous profiles on your watchlist from months ago and recently where you committed to add sources, and those profiles remain unsourced. Please make sure you start adding your sources before adding more profiles to WikiTree.
Hello Dominik, as per our email exchange yesterday I am fairly sure that Ann Wright (Wright-52998) was not the wife of William Righter as she lived her whole life in Suffolk, England. I have now added sources confirming that she married Alfred Simpson and died still using the name Simpson. I have therefore removed the connection you made with William Righter. If William did marry a woman called Ann Wright it must be a different woman of the same name. You also indicated in your message that you might have the wrong parents/ last name at birth for William. I don't have much expertise with American sources so will leave this for you to figure out when you have a chance.
You have to stop adding GEDCOM files to already established profiles. I have to now delete all these GEDCOM junk files you added to profiles I manage. Also note that Ancestry is not a source.
I second this. I have had to remove relationships for several individuals that were added as children to a woman who was deceased before their birth. I spent quite a bit of time trying to validate that there "may" be a relationship with the father and have therefore left those relationships intact for now.
My friend who is a descendant of him and lives in Gdańsk had been in one of the Mennonite's cemeteries which is the whole bunch of them in the vicinity of Gdańsk. These graves badly need cleaning but I think her first trip to one of them gained one Dyck (I guess Appolonia). I can send you photos, some were badly affected by their apparent connection with Russia, as we know. What is your e-mail address? I will send them directly to you. High quality ones. We have wondered who would approach the case with proper attention and my friend told me that the Netherlands Embassy won't give a sh*t. Konserwator Zabytków in Malbork and the Police since it is illegal to "desecrate" the gravestones?
I am a WT Ranger and we are here to help new members. I noticed you created the following pre-1700 profile that lacks the necessary source. Ancestry.com does not qualify as a reliable source. Here is the help page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles.
Great, I will have to put the profiles into the queue, since the first thing I am doing is the "skeleton", but I will try. I had done over 400 source references for my MSc thesis, so I am still figuring out how to do the proper ones here. I will probably use EndNote for that purpose.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
