Biography

Euphemie St Amand was born about Aug 1869 in Maine. She was the daughter of Francois St Amand and Vitaline Michaud.

In the 1870 census "Pheme" (age 9 months) was in Madawaska, Aroostook, Maine.[1]

Euphemie married Honoré Dufour, probably on 23 May 1886 in Frenchville, Maine (it is difficult to read the names in the entry).[2][3]

In the 1900 census Eufumie (age 30) was the wife of Henry Dufour in Madawaska, Aroostook, Maine.[4] She had been married for 13 years and was the mother of 8 children but only 7 were still living. They lived with children Carice, Onesime, Thomas, Deline, Emile, Ida, Eddy, and her mother Vitaline St Aman.

In the 1910 census Eufemie (age 39) was the wife of Honore Dufour in Madawaska, Aroostook, Maine.[5] They lived with children Carice, Thommy, Onesinse, Delina, Emile, Eddy, Paul, Patrick, and Emely.

Euphemie married for a second time to Thomas Xavier Valliere on 5 Oct 1919 in Lewiston, Maine.[6]

Euphemie married for a third time to John Meservier on 29 Aug 1942 in Maine.[7][8]

She died on 16 Dec 1961 in Lewiston, Maine.[9][10] She was buried in Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine (her headstone was shared with her son Emile Dufour).[11]
