Biography
Edward Whelan was a Father of Confederation / était un Père de la Confédération.
Edward Whelan is Notable.
Edward Whelan was an Irish-born journalist and legislator in Prince Edward Island. He was a P.E.I. delegate to the Québec Conference.[1]
He married Mary Weymouth in 1845.[2] She died after the birth of their son. The three children of his second marriage also died at a young age.
He died December 10, 1867 and was buried at Historic Roman Catholic Cemetery in Charlettetown.[3]
