Fred,

I see that you have done a lot of WikiTree work. It would probably be a good idea to review the help on Merging which states this applies to profiles that represent the same person. See also the Merging FAQ -- you should not edit a profile so that it represents a different person. The Deletion FAQ discusses options for Living persons that you wish to get rid of.

Thanks Kay -- I was a little overzealous some years ago with creating profiles for living cousins before I realized the impact, and was looking for ways to reduce my profile management responsibility. I was not aware of the Delete Profiles feature and will use that in the future. Happy hunting! ~Fred

That's great. Let me know if you need any help. (I also didn't know about Delete Profile until I searched the Help.)

Sorry it took me so long to approve you. I have been out of country for the last three weeks.

There is proof of the relationship to Bishop Edmond Gibson. Jonathan was the son of Richard Gibson born at Bampton England. Since Jonathan I was deceased in 1732 this letter shows the relationship of Jonathan II --Letter and ancestry of Jonathan in Bampton at this link. https://joannepezzullo.blogspot.com/2014/10/jonathan-gibson-part-one_9.html

Regarding your suggested merge of the two Mary Taylors:

I do not agree to this merge. A tradition held by many is: if there is a child who dies when an infant/toddler, then the parents name the next child of the same gender. So there could quite easily be two Marys: one who died as a baby, and the other who grew to be married.

Fred,

You are welcome to fix place names on the US President managed profiles. Your research is well thought through.

Are you related to the Perkins/Evans family or just enjoy geneaology?
I found my own answer! Mary was Mary (Scott) Gomme, relative of Robert Dixon's wife. Now I need to see if I can find a connection between Lawrence and the other Gomme's.
In the 1851 England Census for Islington West, Robert Dixon Tozer, his wife, and their baby have 3 Gomme visitors: Mary(51) & Lawrence(46) Gomme and who I presume is their son Alfred (22), the same age as Alfred Talbot Gomme. Any idea which part of the Gomme cousins this is?
