Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community.   Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.  It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.  Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code.  This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community.   We have many friendly members, feel  free to ask if you have any questions. 

I guess I have to wait to add family history.

My name is John Sutherland Hindess, son of James McCrae Hindess born in St Lambert, Quebec and Diana Sutherland Hindess born in Montreal, Quebec. My Grandparents were all from Montreal and St Lambert as well being William James Hindess, Mary McCrae Hindess, Joan Ferrabee Sutherland and John Bartholomew Sutherland. All of them were born in Montreal or St Lamber, Quebec except my grandmother, Mary McCrae who was born in Ontario.
