Born in 1950, I am a retired Registered Maine Guide living in Lincoln, Maine, son of Victor Woodbury and Dorothy (Miller) Woodbury.
I have inherited stacks of old family documents and photographs, mostly on my fathers side. I consider it my responsibility to make all the connections and add all the results to WikiTree. This is especially thrust upon me because my great-great-grandfather, Andrew Sweet (1837-1892), had only one child and she then had only one child who lived to adulthood, my grandmother Woodbury. So the ancestral records of all the descendants of Andrew Sweet are contained in this one collection.
My daughter, Ruth, and I have traced some lines back many generations. These are recorded in Heredis for Mac. I will add these records to WikiTree one by one as time permits.
As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, including with your GEDCOM, post a comment on my profile page or send me a private message.
Each generation adds new surnames to the hodgepodge of family relations and each generation becomes further separated from the knowledge of the past. I am one of three in the family who have been collaborating to capture relationships and build a reliable record.
Regards Dawn
