Sarah Ann Ankrom was born on 12 Sep 1830 in Greene Township, Greene, Pennsylvania to parents John W Ankrom and Ruth Sarah Ankrom. [1]
She married Jesse Rufus Kennedy on 11 Dec 1851 in Vinton, Ohio. [2]
Children: Emaline, Nancy Isabel, Mariah, John R, Samuel Rufus, Andrew, Frances Elizabeth, James Franklin, William Edson, George Washington, Sarah Jane. [3][4][5][6]
She died on 29 Mar 1920 in Cedar Vale, Chautauqua, Kansas, and was buried in the Cedar Creek Cemetery in Cowley, Kansas. [7]
Obituary: "Mrs. Sarah Kennedy Dies. Mrs. Sarah Kennedy, aged 89 years, died at the home of her son, John Kennedy, on route two, March 29th, after a lingering illness. Interment was made at North Cedar Cemetery March 30th, Wm. Lyons, of the Church of Christ, officiating."[8]
