Elizabeth Ashmore was born on 14 Mar 1814[1] in Jefferson City, Jefferson, Tennessee, United States[2] to Amos B. Ashmore and Patience (McGuire) Ashmore. Elizabeth Ashmore Nicholson died 18 Aug 1894 in Coles County, Illinois, USA[2] . She was buried in Pleasant Prairie, PleaNasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois USA.[2]

Elizabeth Ashmore married Patrick Nicholson on 17 May 1832 in Clark, Illinois, United States.[3]

Patience Ann Nicholson was born 29 Dec 1834[5] Coles County, Illinois, USA[6]. She passed away on 11 Nov 1915[5] in Coles County, Illinois, USA[6].

William A. Nicholson was born 19 Apr 1837. He passed away 15 Nov 1915 (or 14 Mar 1916). He married Nancy E. Ewing who was born 25 Nov 1839 and passed away 28 Feb 1880.[5]

Mary Nicholson was born 7 Nov 1838. She died 6 Jun 1864. She was burried in Old Indian Presbyterian Church Cemetery Pleasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois, USA[7]. She married Joseph Hezekial McGuire (3L-5) 5 May 1864 in Coles County, Illinois USA[8] Joseph was born 8 Jun 1835. He died 29 Mar 1919. He was burried in Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA[9]. Joseph was married a second time to Anna Marie "Mary (Graeltz) McGuire in 1866.[10]

James Minnis Nicholson was born about 1841 in Lerna, Coles County, Illinois, USA. He died at birth.[10]

Sarah Jane Nicholson was born18 Mar 1843[10] in Lerna, Coles County, Illinois, USA[11]. She died 7 Feb 1932[10] in Nebraska, USA[12]. She is buried at Indianola Cemetery, Indianola, Red Willow County, Nebraska, USA.[12] She married Thomas Anderson Endsley 29 Feb 1876.[13]. Thomas was born 12 Oct 1851 in Coles County, Illinois. He died 29 Jul 1936. P. 7

Amos Egelston Nicholson born 10 May 1845 in Lerna, Coles, Illinois, USA. He never returned from the Civil War. Died 12 Feb 1864 near Clinton, Hinds, Mississippi. USA. He was in the 5th Regiment, Illinois Cavalry, Company E as a Private.[14]

Harriet Newell Nicholson was born 2 Aug 1847[15] in Lerna, Coles County, Illinois, USA [16] . She passed away in 14 Apr 1924[15] in Charleston, Coles County, Illinois[16]. She was buried in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Pleasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois, USA.[17]

Albert Barnes Nicholson was born 11 Jan 1850[15] in Lerna, Coles, Illinois, United States[18]. He died 6 Oct 1915[15] in Aurora, Kane, Illinois[18], United States. He was burried in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery Pleasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois, USA[19]. He married Ruhama Thresa Allen 21 Jan 1875 in New Albany, Floyd, Indiana, United States.[20] She was born 15 Jul 1856. She died 4 Jan 1937.[15]

Margaret Matilda Nicholson was born 7 Jan 1855[21] Coles County, Illinois, United States[22]. She died 20 Oct 1942 /[21] Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States[22]. Margaret Matilda Newman was burried in Mound Cemetery, Charleston, Coles County, Illinois, USA.[22] She married Thomas Jefferson Newman on 15 Feb 1872 in Coles County, Illinois, USA.[23]

Infant son died at birth.[21]

Ella Elizabeth Nicholson was born 17 Jun 1858[21] Lerna, Coles, Illinois, United States. She died on 26 Feb 1944 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States. She was burried in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, Pleasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois, USA.[24] She married Alexander Keith Bradford Newman 14 Apr 1885.[21]
