Biography

Amos Egelston Nicholson born 10 May 1845 in Lerna, Coles, Illinois, USA. He never returned from the Civil War. Died 12 Feb 1864 near Clinton, Hinds, Mississippi. USA.[1]

Amos Nicholson served in the military during the Civil war. He was in the 5th Regiment, Illinois Cavalry, Company E as a Private.[2]

He fought (and presumably died) in a battle on 12 Feb 1864 at Clinton, MS.[3]

Amos was born in 1845. He was the son of Patrick Nicholson and Elizabeth Ashmore. He passed away in 1864.
