Lucy Avery, born 27 Jan 1728/29 at Groton, Connecticut, was the second child of Lucy (Latham) Avery (1709-1757) and Ebenezer Avery I (1704-1780).

She married 13 Apr 1749 at Groton, Connecticut, George Colfax (1727-1776). They had 10 children, born at New London, Connecticut:
