Biography

Joseph S. Babbidge was born on 13 January 1807 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. In 1850 he lived on Swans with wife and 4 children. In 1880 he was living with his daughter Hannah, aka Harriet, aka Abbie and her husband Benjamin Staples. He died on 22 May 1883 at the age of 76 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Joseph S. Babbidge and Mary C. Hamblen were married on 12 June 1830 in Gott's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Mary C. Hamblen, daughter of Daniel Hamblen and Hannah Richardson, was born on 15 February 1806 in Gott's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 23 January 1881 at the age of 74 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.
