From FAG: Booker Bailey, also referred to as William Booker, was the husband of Mary Jane Nelson Bailey and the son of Benjamin and Pamelia "Milly" Baker Bailey.
Booker, who was born in Alabama, migrated into Lawrence County, Tennessee sometime between 1840-1845 from either Louisiana, where the Ben Baileys settled after leaving Alabama (or Arkansas) where Ben died near the White River.
As family legend has it, Booker married Mary Jane Nelson 17 Dec 1845 in Lawrence county very shortly after their first meeting and died at his residence on Shoal Creek during the night of Friday, 25 Jan 1884.
Great, Great Grandfather Booker was 73 years of age at the time of his passing.
William was born in 1811. He was the son of Benjamin Bailey and Pamelia Baker. He passed away about 1884. [1]
