Biography

Mary Banker was born near Fishkill, Dutchess Co., N. Y. Oct. 29 1748 or 1749. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Banker (b. Nov 27, 1727)and Hannah Conklin (b. Sep 24, 1729)

Mary married Paul Van der Voort, who was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War. Children of Mary and Paul were born in Fishkill, New York:

  • Jan Van der Voort, born 5 MAY 1781
  • Nathaniel Banker Van der Voort, born 16 AUG 1783
  • Lambert Van der Voort, born between 1774 and 1784
  • Elizabeth Van der Voort, born 7 SEP 1786
  • Hannah Van der Voort, born 14 FEB 1790

Mary died December 23, 1798 and is buried in the Round Top Cemetery, in Cairo, Greene County, New York [1]
