Research Notes
Acton, Massachusetts was originally part of Concord, Massachusetts.
Regarding Lydia's husband and father of children: there are a number of John Brooks in New England in this colonial timeframe, with different individuals from families in the Boston/Concord area, in the Springfield/Hartford area, and in coastline Connecticut. There is also a John Brooks family in the Virginia. In some cases the family lines have become tangled in various online records.
