Susan passed away on January 6,1899 and was interred at St. Peter's Churchyard, Heswall.[11][12]
Her estate passed probate on February 24, 1899 leaving effects to the value of £164 16s 4d.[13]
Research Notes
Curious thing - a couple of weeks after her death, her great nephew Benjamin Mutch Salisbury (1862-1939) sent her a loan of £10 from Melbourne, Colony of Victoria. He wouldn't have known when he sent the money that she had died. But why is he sending money to her? Her probate shows assets of £164 16s 4d, and on the previous census of 1891, her husband William was "living on his own means". I can't see that Benjamin has another Aunt Susan, and he mentions visiting her in 1886 before he came to the colonies.Salisbury-2431 06:01, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
