Biography
Mathilde Begin was born on 5 Oct 1835 in Lauzon, the daughter of Pierre Begin, farmer, and Charlotte Turgeon. She was baptised the next day in the parish of Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon with Jean Baptiste Begin and Catherine Lemieux standing as her godparents. Signed by her father[1]
On 4 Feb 1856 Edouard Fontaine, farmer, minor son of Joseph Fontaine and Josepte Laroche, married Malthide Bégin, minor daughter of Pierre Bégin, farmer, and the late Charlotte Turgeon, in St-Evariste-de-Forsyth. Witnessed by both fathers. None signed[2].
