Oliver Blake was born 4 Jan 1804, Bridgton, Cumberland, Maine. [1], son of Freeman Blake and Mary Whitney

Oliver settled in Sweden, living in the house built by Farnum Flint. He then built a house opposite of Alonzo Smith's and a barn on the same side of the road, now (1890) owned by Smith. He lived there until 1834, then moved to Bridgton. He moved back to Sweden in 1840, then back to Bridgton in 1845. He died in Saco, Maine.[4]

1833 - 22 Nov, Oliver Blake purchases with his father Freeman Blake and David Bradley for $516, Ezra Kilgore land in Lovell, part of lot #2, 3rd division, "where Kilgore’s store stands." [7]
1834 15 Feb, Oliver Blake of Sweden sells land in Sweden to Stephen W Blake [8] and separately to Ezra Kilgore (his brother-in-law) [9]

7 Jul 1861 – Ebenezer W Blake: "At 8 o clock PM reached Br Olivers, in Bidddeford where we are to sojourn a while" [14]
1864: In his diary, Ebenezer W Blake was critical of his brothers Oliver and Stephen, and several others of his acquaintance, saying they weren't being supportive enough for the continuation of the Civil War. [15]
