Biography

Charles was born in 1852 at Willesden to James and Elizabeth. He along with his his parents, brother James and sister Martha, arived at Portland in south-west Victoria on the Mary Ann on 28th January 1857.

Charles maried Betsy (Featherby) at Darragan near Horsham 1878^[1]. They had seven children: William James b12th April 1878 at Kalkee, Charles Henry Bond Jr b1881 at Kalkee, Jane Bond b1883 at Kalkee, twins Ellen Fetherby Bond and Arthur Copeland Bond b1886 at Nurrabiel, Frances b1888 at Warrayure, and Ann Bond b1890 at Hamilton.^[2]

BOND.—On 3rd January, at his residence, Lower Norton, Charles Henry, second son of the late James Bond, of Kalkee ; after a short illness. Aged 56 years. R.I.P.
