Biography

William Bond was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

William was born in 1860 in Hamilton, Colony of Victoria, the son of James Bond and Elizabeth Smith.[1]

William Bond married Emily Smith on April 20th 1887 at Kalkee, Colony of Victoria.[2]

children:- Alfred (who married his cousin Selina Payne), William (killed at Fromelles, France on 19th July 1916 whilst serving as part of the 58th Battalian AIF. He is buried at Aubers Ridge British cemetery, Aubers, France; Grave 1A 20), Ethel (b 1893 Horsham and mother of Eunice Duff), Charles (b 1894, Horsham and who was gassed in WWI and never recovered his health) Marion (b 1897 at Pimpinio, later Mrs Docwra, d 1983) and Harry (died of Typhoid in 1924). Harry John Kitchener was born at Pimpinio in 1902.

He passed away in Somerville in 1939, age 79.[3][4]
