Zechariah Booth was a prominent man in the Enfield life of his day. Was a trustee of the first bank established in Enfield; was a Constable in 1692; was a Selectman for several terms; was the third Town Clerk serving from 1723 to 1729; was Sargeant of the train band; and deputy in 1731-32.

He was a large land owner in Springfield and Enfield. He was chosen Rep many times General Court in Boston, MA and was town clerk in 1723-29 He had one son by first wife Mary Warringer and had eight children by second wife Mary Harmon

Sergeant Zachariah Booth was a prominent man in Enfield. His name occur often in the town records in connection with various offices of trust; when the first bank was organized, he was one of the trustees; he was Constable in 1692 and Selectman several terms. He was the third TownClerk, serving from 1723 to 1729; was Seargeant of the train band andDeputy in 1731 and 1732.
