Laurie was born in 1923 in Sackville, Westmorland, New Brunswick. He was the son of Abel Boudreau and Emélie Gallant.
He married Nita Lorraine Wheaton on June 9, 1947 in Sackville, Westmorland county. He was 23 years old while she was 17.[1]
Laurie died December 7, 1982 in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick and was buried in the same cemetery as his parents - Saint Charles-Nativity Roman Catholic Cemetery in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.[2]
