Élizabeth Bourgette was born in St-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-de-Lévy on June 24th 1792 and was baptized the same day. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Bourgette and Élizabeth Quantin.[1]
Élizabeth Bourgette married Pierre Morin March 22nd 1811 in St-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-de-Lévy. Witnesses: Pierre Morin père, Augustin Morin et Charles Rouleau oncles de l'époux. Louis Roy beau père, François et Louis Bourget oncles de l'épouse.[2]
Their marriage contract dated April 11th 1811 is in the notarial records of Jacques Boucher.[3]
Élizabeth died June 14th 1832 in St-Jean-Chrysostôme and was buried the 15th. [4][5]
She is referred to as Louise in her daughter Cécile Morin's wedding register August 19th 1839. Élizabeth may have been known as Élise which in Cécile's marriage record could easily have been confused for Louise. No other Pierre Morin-Bourget(te) marriages in this time period and place.[6]
