Research Notes
Removed "Franklin" and "USA" from birth location (was "Pittsylvania,Franklin, Virginia, USA"). Pittsylvania County was established in 1767.[3] Franklin County, to the Northwest, "was formed in 1785 from parts of Bedford and Henry counties."[4] There was not a parish named either Pittsylvania or Franklin, nor did the two counties share a parish.[5]

I came in to clear up the duplicate files after a merge, and I saw a couple of issues that have crept in over time.
1) most of the Ancestry links do not work any longer. I replaced the 1850 US Census from Ancestry with FamilySearch's since the link is more stable, but I don't have the time to fix them all. If you prefer to stay with Ancestry, this might help: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Links_to_Ancestry.
2) what is the source for his date/location of death?
