Note N185The Bridges families came to texas before the Rev. Joel H. cosper wagon train came to Texas and they spent Christmas 1869 with the bridges before going on to Bell county. Bridges settled in Rusk county permanently.

J.C.A. AND MARY ANN COSPER BRIDGES HAD 10 CHILDREN, INCLUDING MY GRANDFATHER, FRANCIS MARION "FRANK"BRIDGES. J.C.A. SERVED IN THE CONFEDERATE ARMY,34TH ALABAMA INFANTRY AS A SECOND LIEUTENANT. HE BECAME A MASON IN PINE HILL LODGE NUMBER 95 IN 1875. HE WAS A CIRCUIT RIDER (TRAVELING PREACHER). I HOPE THIS INFO HELPS. LINDA BRIDGES MCKINNEY
