Biography
James Brown was baptized 26 July 1713 in Lexington, MA, son of Joseph Brown and Ruhamah (Wellington) Brown .[1]
James married Jane Bowman 21 Jan 1733/4 or 1734/5 in Lexington, Middlesex Co, MA.[2]
James and Jane had four children, all born in Lexington.
After his first wife died he married 18 May 1762 his cousin (and his son Joseph 's mother-in-law) Elizabeth (Wellington) Smith , widow of Hezekiah Smith .[3]
He died 11 June 1768 in Lexington and is buried in the Old Burying Grounds, Lexington, Middlesex Co, MA.[4]
