Pierre Lucien Buras, son of Pierre Sebastian Buras and Marie Victorie Ragas, was born in March of 1821 in Buras and baptized on 2 Feb 1822 at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana at 10 months old.[1]

Pierre Lucien BURAS(B3A2) was born about 1822. He married first on 29 October 1840 to Adelaide SYLVE, daughter of Jean Baptiste SYLVE(I2A) and Marie del Incarnacion RAGAS<8>. Adelaide was born in 1826 and died in 1850. There were four children. They were living in House 444 in 1850<19>. Pierre Lucien remarried later to Elise Roselma BURAS, daughter of Jean Benoit BURAT and Marie Josephine LAFRANCE. There were no children from the second marriage. Pierre Lucien died in 1865. Roselma remarried, to Laurent BROCHIER, a native of France in 1867. They were living in House 1065/1104 in 1870<22>. Laurent died in the 1870's. Roselma was living in 1900 in Ward 10, Precinct 2, House 234/243<25>. Roselma lived until 1906. Roselma helped raise her nieces and nephew from her sister, who died shortly before she married BROCHIER. The youngest child she adopted, although she retained her name as BURAS.
