Mahala (Burden) Clemens is a part of US Black heritage.

Mahala was born on 14 Oct 1814 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Polly and James Burden.

In 1835, she married John Clemens.[1]

She passed away in 1883.

Burden-1328 and Bass-2371 appear to represent the same person because: Someone who supports the rumors of her being a Bass created an alternate profile. This is her. Her correct name is Burden.
